Elisavet Panagiotou

Doctoral Student
PhD candidate at the Department of Psychology at the University of Cyprus. She received a BA in Psychology from University of Cyprus and has completed her postgraduate studies in Social and Cultural Psychology (MSc) at LSE. She studies how embodiment and the body constitute self-understanding and identity processes, while focusing on contemporary dancers in Cyprus. She employs qualitative methodologies and she is especially interested in the inclusion of creative and embodied methods in traditional methods such as interviews and focus groups.  Beyond her PhD project, she is further involved in sociopsychological research projects focusing on intergroup relations and conflict.
